Subject: Why so many suicides?

Native peoples (in North America at least) suffer from an inordinately high number of suicides. Why aren't those at risk being taught to use their dreams for enriching their life, creativity, relationships and happiness? Or... are the lessons already being taught inadequate or need updating? Do the lessons not show how to use dreams and visions to succeed and live? Or are pressures from within the community stopping native children from following their dreams?

I'd help (more than one book written on the subject and a course)... but it seems few natives want to listen to someone who isn't discernably native... so racial barriers are preventing many from benefitting. It's impossible to help someone who is dead, only the living, and they have to want to learn or be encouraged by friends and family to learn.
