Subject: pompeys pillar

When I was little I went to visit Pompeys Pillar. This was about 30 years ago. A Native American was at the pillar, and he said to me "do you know the real story about Pompeys Pillar? " I said no, so he told me a story about 2 little Indian girls who were chanced by the bears and jumped on top of a rock, the bears were going to eat them, so they prayed and the rock became big. The bears scratched to rock trying to get the girls, but they were safe. I am trying to get that story. Has anyone else heard of it?
