Subject: "Food for thought"

Hello everyone!

I am new to this site but want to say that I have enjoyed reading all the differant postings. I have learned a few new things and enjoy being exposed to the differances in ideas and thoughts present within.

While I was pondering the wisedom of a specific posting, I found myself spending a lot of time wondering about the broader more universal picture. The following is a simple idea that is just meant to be some food for thought and discussion....

I have been thinking about the predjudices that have always existed in our societies! This week an interesting thought occured to me...We were all given a piece of the "medicine" puzzle and we are just now realizing the simple truth that all medicine holds some truths, wisdom, and healing power that is unique to it alone. Western medicine and insurance companies are just admitting that those in the science and western world do not have all the answers. It is finally acknowledged that herbs, Eastern medicine, and the power or spirtuality (of the patient and those around them) all play a part in the healing process of many illnesses...no one practice can cure everything on its own and may times a combination of practices works the best.

We are all human but the "Creator" gave us differant colors and features. Sadly, it is the differances that we still focus on!

COULD IT BE that we were all given a piece of the whole truth when it comes to spirituality as well! Maybe we were all given our unique beliefs and spirituality in such a way as that would benefit our differant cultures at the time we recieved it.

If life is a journey and we all have a lesson to be learned while we are here, maybe that lesson is to look past our differances and except each individual because of their uniqueness. We all believe that our "Creator" loves his children and he chose to make us differant for a reason. Maybe the lesson and the simplest truth to be learned is that we all hold a piece of the truth! Like any puzzle, each piece is important for if we are missing even one small piece, the puzzle is imcomplete!
