There is a new Miss Teen USA message board, moderated by one of the moderators here, where you can discuss the Miss Teen USA pageant in a civil manner, where no mean-spirited bashing will be allowed
1. Miss USA – I have been watching Crystle ever since she was first runner up to Lauren and let me tell you that she will not let this opportunity of being Miss Universe go to waste. This girl has attitude, presence and she will make herself known during the presentation show and the live telecast. Besides, Miss USA has not won Miss Universe for 11 years! And this will be it.
2. Miss Venezuela – This girl make herself known by being loud and playful. She does not have to try hard to be notice. Her beauty and presence will get her all the way to the top 5. Currently she is the favorite of the press and the people from Vietnam and the Miss Universe Organization will not leave Dayana out of the top 15 unless politics get on the way.
3. Miss Mexico – First of all, Elisa has been on of the very few best candidates The Nuestra Belleza Organization has send in years!!! The only thing that might happen is that the Miss Universe Org will not approve of her being in the Top 15 when they see that the presentation show judges added Miss Mexico to the list due to what happened last year! But the way I see it is that this is a new competition and that this year Elisa will go out there and will make sure that the judges will see that she is the one of the ones to beat!
4. Miss Australia – This beautiful girl is just breathtaking and Trump (knowing how dirty and disgusting he is) will make sure that this girl moves all the way to the top due to the fact that the Australian team does not want to send a contestant anymore! Besides, this girl is beautiful a will make sure the catwalk and the attitude is shown during the presentation show.
5. Miss Korea – Not a very pretty face but she will be doing the same strategy as Riyo. I am very aware that she will be a knock out during the evening gown competition. I know that her charisma will get her far. I am also aware that her director recently posted in a blog stating that Miss Venezuela is the winner, but let me say that this is just a strategy used by her in order to push her very own: Korea and Japan .
Top 10 (In alphabetical order)
* Japan – Another one to beat in this competition. She is not very pretty but she really knows who her competition is and she is very aware of it. She definitely knows what to do during the presentation show and there is no stopping her.
* Kazakhstan – What a beauty! I totally love this girl and this year….Kazakhstan has gone mad. I am very sure she is another one who knows what to do in the presentation show. She’s got the looks and she’s got poise. This year, Kazakhstan is in.
* Panama – all I can say is wow!!! I will so put this girl in the top 5 but contestants from the Americas such as Venezuela, Puerto Rico, USA, and Mexico will score higher than her. She does have the attitude and presence.
* Puerto Rico – People might criticize her all they want but the reality is that she is a beautiful girl despite all her plastic surgery (which might stop her from moving to the top five).I know that she looks somehow out of the place but this sleeping beauty will wake up when it is time to demonstrate herself (To the people that really matter)
* South Africa - Very sexy and mature. Her evening gown was beautiful and she has the skills to work it. Adorable lady and she is making herself known very well.
Top 15 (In alphabetical order)
* Albania –A beauty that the Miss Universe Pageant has never seen. She knows how to sell it on stage. I am aware that she is not all great without makeup but she knows when the time to shine is.
* China – Sweet and pretty. She is very elegant and classy. I know people have not notice her very much but I do. The Olympics are coming up and she knows that the whole world is on the eyes China right now and she will make sure the eyes of the judges are on her as well.
* Honduras – a very not so famous. But have you all seen the way the press follows her? I think she can pull it off and a have a feeling that this will be one of the surprises.
* India – She will definitely be there. Many people do not approve of her but I really believe that this girl will have her share during the presentation show. She is very pretty and the press loves her as well.
* Vietnam – Yes, I know that she is not all that but: do you all think that the Miss Universe Organization is going to leave her behind after everything the country has done this year?
This is only my point of view and I am sure there will be plenty of surprises!!!! There is so much beauty and it is just very hard to select 15.
Others I see making it are: Argentina (surprise!), Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Kosovo, Russia, Trinidad & Tobago and Ukraine.
Subject: I think Venezuela is the most beautiful on a consistent basis, she does look like a goddess as Miss Universe should, but I really would love for a European girl to win, its been so long and the South American exotic beauty each year is getting old

If Crystle wins Miss Universe, Is ( Miss Mississppi) called and asked does she want the job or is it a given. I remember when Chelsi Smith won in 95 Shanna Moakler wasn't sure whether she wanted the job or not
Subject: Go to board 191501. There is a gorgeous photo of Crystle in a stunning red and white Carlos Alberta gown. She is stunning and beats Venezuela in this round of photos.

Kosovo and Albania are the most beautiful hands down!! I'm hoping there will be a European beauty to win Miss Universe 2008. My money goes on Kosovo or Albania to win!! There isn't much competition this year for these two girls. Although there are a few pretty Latina's, I'm tired of seeing the same look. They all look the same. Let's go ALBANIA AND KOSOVO!! puci puci <3

Social practices - not laws - govern many types of behaviour in Canada. Some traditions are well established and are politely but firmly enforced. For example:
Lining up or queuing: People normally line up or queue according to the principle of "first-come, first-served." They will be angry if you push ahead in a lineup instead of waiting your turn.
Not smoking in private homes: Most Canadians do not smoke. When you are in people's homes, you should always ask their permission to smoke. If they do not smoke themselves, they may ask you to go outside to smoke.
Being on time: You should always arrive on time - at school, at work and for any meeting. People who are often late may be fired from their jobs or suspended from school. Many Canadians will not wait more than 10 or 15 minutes for someone who has a business meeting. For social events, people expect that you will arrive within half an hour of the stated time.
Respect for the environment: Canadians respect the natural environment and expect people to avoid littering (dropping waste paper and other garbage on the street or throwing it out of your car). They expect you to hold on to your garbage until you can find a proper garbage can.
Bargaining: Bargaining for a better price is not common in Canada, but there are some exceptions. For example, almost everyone bargains for a better price when buying a car or a house, or other expensive items such as furniture. People who sell things privately may also bargain.
Smart shopping: Stores compete with one another to attract customers, so it is wise to check and compare prices at different stores before you buy. Note: The price marked on goods in stores does not usually include the federal and provincial sales taxes, which add from 7 percent to 15 percent to the cost of an item, depending on the province in which you buy it.

Subject: WHAT A SHAME. JERRY SPRINGER TO CO-HOST MISS UNIVERSE
Date Posted:Wednesday, June 25, 03:23:59am
Jerry Springer and Mel B have just been announced to host Miss Universe from Vietnam. What the hell happened to Donnie and Marie? I thought they did a great job at Miss USA.
Date Posted:Tuesday, June 24, 11:29:21pm
I would have settled for Donny and Marie again not a left over Miss World host. Can't believe they can't get a sexy male host. Mel B could have been better paired off.

Hey! I am trying to find a dress for my state pageant in October. I was wondering if you guys thought this dress was "USA" enough. Its for miss division:

Now that the contestants real faces and bodies have surfaced, who are the real stand outs. Can you still see Crystle making top 5?
Date Posted:Tuesday, June 24, 03:52:44pm
Mel B. is on a roll these days! Her latest endeavor is that she's just been slated to host this year's Miss Universe Pageant.
Scary says, "I'm thrilled to be a co-host of the Miss Universe pageant. I believe the diversity and dedication that the pageant brings inspires and empowers young women across the globe."
Mel will be co-hosting with Jerry Springer, who always has a way of getting his audience on their feet. Hopefully they'll pay more attention to the bikini-clad contestants than chanting Jerry! Jerry! The show airs July 13th.

Subject: Miss Universe 2008 vs. Miss Universe 1998

At this point, the top ten this year might reflect the top ten a decade ago, as the list looks very, very plausible:
South Africa
Russia
Ireland
USA
Colombia
Venezuela
Puerto Rico
Trinidad & Tobago
India
Brazil
The remaining five? Who knows. Maybe some Asian and European countries like China, Denmark, and Kosovo. Plus, we'll add favourites Panama and Dominican Republic. And there you have it, a wonderful top 15!

I've taken the opportunity like a true Miss USA and Universe fan to review all of the photos and video interviews of this year's Miss Universe contestants.
I can safely say that I truly believe that this years pageant is down to two contestants:
MISS USA & MISS VENEZUELA.
They are both exceptional. I might have to lean a bit towards Miss Venezuela because she seems to me more beautiful. Miss USA is a close second though. All this of course can change on pageant night.
Other girls who caught my eye:
MISS JAPAN.....Three year's in a row for Japan. She's lovely

Miss USA charmed everyone there at the TSN Airport upon arriving in Vietnam by speaking, very accurately as a matter of fact, a greeting phrase in Vietnamese.
