how is the sateelite tv decoder connected to your tv? Is it connected straight to the tv? Well, in order to tape the shows from your satellite, you will have to connect the decoder to your vcr.

But then, if you need to watch the satellite channels... you will need to turn on the vcr, and switch the tv to video1 or video2 depending which "line" it is connected to. And you can only tape one channel off your satellite, unless your satellite channels can be set to change like a vcr.
