Subject: Need Dress and skirt cleaning tips!

I have a superstretch bodice. My daughter perspired a little in the dress and it created a light tanning stain under the arm on the outside of the dress. Someone on another board suggested to use baby wipes to remove tanner. Well, I tried that and now it has lightened but looks like a water stain on the dress. Any tips on how to get this to look better?
I also just purchased an awesome gown but the skirt has a few light stains towards the bottom and the underskirts are dirty from where it touched the ground. The skirt is at least 3 layers of what I think is nylon chiffon.(not sure) with a cotton layer underneath as well. Is it possible to wash this in a bathtub? The skirt has been dyed. Any tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks

You didn't say if the dress was white or not, but if it is, you can scrub the stain pretty well, then towel dry the spot and try to feather the wetness out into the rest of the dress. It usually won't water spot that way. You can probably soak the skirt in woolite, but I would spot clean the waist or lining where it won't show to make sure that any color won't wash out.
