I don't know what the other person told you, but you can purchase liquid airbrush ink which works like a paint, but goes on like a dye. You want to get a bowl of water or run a skink of water and put in a little bit of ink. Keep adding it in until you get the color you want. Dip your fabric into it, squeeze it out....don't ring in out....then throw it into the dryer right away with a towel you don't care if you keep. Once it comes out, the color will be set. If you need it darker you can then dip it again.
