Ok I have had a business meeting with the importers and distributors of Half Life in NZ to explain to him the need for us to borrow copies of CS.

Total Interactive (his company) and Harvey Norman have agreed to lend us 50 copies of CounterStrike for the tournament. Fortunately on Lan, you dont need to enter registration codes. However, it is illegal to not have the software and to pirate the copies.

What was the cost to us? Total Interactive wanted to get 5 players into the tournament free of charge- representing Harvey Norman superstore.

Total cost of 50 copies of Counterstrike for the week = 5 * doorcharge ($45) = $225.

I think its worth it.
