Keep in mind at the start she has had a dream where Kileaf is evil.

Then she stirred. Her eyes opened slowly. Her reaction to seeing him startled Kileaf. “YOU!” she cried. She wrestled her way out of his arms while he stared in amazement. She reached for an arrow and knocked it on the bowstring pointed at him. She released it. “What are you doing?” Kileaf yelled as he dodged the arrow. “You’re evil. You corrupt, baneful, destructive man! You are evil just like your father!” She shouted at him. “All you want to do his hurt me, Vagen, Triglo, Kemissian, and Hegan!” She continued firing arrows at him. He dodged, darted, and rolled. She waited for him to stop, and fired. He seen it at the last moment and had no time to move. The arrow struck just below his collar bone. He roared in pain. “Chidaka why would I ever hurt you?! I love you! My father is just a power hungry wizard. I am not like him in any way.” He bellowed. She looked at him closely. Then she saw him. The Kileaf she knew and loved. Kileaf slumped down by a rock. She started bawling and ran to him. Sliding to his side. I am so, so, so sorry. I’ll get you back to the village somehow!” “No, no its okay I know why you did it. Go find Kemissian and Hegan. I will need their help.” He told her trying to get her to calm down. She stared at amazement of her mate. “No I won’t leave you Kileaf!” He slapped her. “Chidaka! I am sorry for that but if you don’t go I will die here!” He shouted. Chidaka nodded rubbing her red cheek. It stung, but she ran off anyway. Kileaf watched vanish in the distance. He closed his eyes. Right now he wasn’t sure if he would live or not. A fatal wound, almost all his energy gone, and night was about to fall. Death was near but wasn’t moving in…yet.
