Subject: *Wind howls outside... or is it really the wind?*

**The door bursts open and a tall figure steps in from the cold, shaking fallen leaves from his hooded cloak and stomping a bit of dirt from his boots at the threshold before continuing into the room. He is a brawny figure and his face is shadowed, but enough of his form can be seen that it is clear he is not a travelling bard. A strange lump protrudes beneath his cloak on the left side, and as he shifts the hilt of a broadsword becomes visible. Reaching the bar, he throws back his hood to reveal his face-- that of a wolf. A recent scar is still healing on his face, so his left cheek is missing a bit of fur, but other than that he looks to be in the prime of health. Leaning on the bar and glancing around at the others, he speaks in a deep, rumbling bass voice**

Is there a barkeep here? I'm a mite thirsty.

- *Her smile fades into a bitter scowl as she stares into the glass of water* I haven't killed in quite a few seasons, so I'd say business is terrible lately. It's itchin' in my bones, my claws 'ave got to rip something, my blade's got to have something to bite into...It's been too long. *She then glances up from the glass with a sudden glimmer in her amber eyes, so that they stand out against her smokey gray fur like burning coals in ash* I don't suppose yeh have any sort of venture in mind....a hunting trip, perhaps? **The wolf takes a long, slow draught of his ale without looking at the weasel. After a moment he turns and surveys her with piercing brown eyes** Aye, I might've had something of the sort in mind. This boredom is making me rather... restless. **He glances toward the door** But I'm waiting on somebeast at the moment. **He puts the now-empty mug in front of him** But after that, I would propose that we take a bit of a trip and see what we can find. **He rises and moves to refill his mug** Would you like anything besides that water? **He looks back at Xan and grins, then leans over the bar and reaches for another mug. He fills both this one and his own with the same ale as before, setting the new mug beside the weasel and takes a swig of his own** I agree, though I don't think I'll have more than a few. Rummaging in a few cabinets, he produces a pewter mug after a few minutes and sets about finding the drink she wants. That takes several minutes more as he doesn't know where anything is kept. *Grinning, the she-wolf sets her cup down. She quickly removes her her over coat, setting on the bar. Revealing a maroon cotton bodess, she then removes her skirt. Exposing tight fitting black leather pants, and the nekode claws strapped to her hips. **As he steps out of the bar, he sees that the night has cleared. The ground is still damp but the stars are twinkling overhead and the air smells clean.
