Subject: (ooc: I apolegize for taking up so much room, everyone; please forgive me. It's for the sake of old INSU.)

It’s Christmas today where I am. The ground is warm here on the coast of east Virginia, so the air is freezing but there’s snow on the ground to make up for it. The marsh I live on looks the same as usual, quiet and beautiful. I am 14, almost 15 years of age, in my first year of high school. Pretty young, and yet already I have memories in my mind that bring sadness because something is leaving me. That thing is the experience I’ve had on the ROC, particularly at Sampetra INSU. I have lots of friends at school and in my neighborhood, I play sports, I run around and do fun things. Yet there is still a community, here, that I love dearly almost as much as my ordinary friends. I hardly know any of my fellow RPers as well as my other friends, certainly not enough to bond with them with trust and love, but I feel like I’ve bonded with the ROC as a whole. It is a place where one can take his imagination, form it, shape it, and play with it as much as he wishes, and where he can link this creativity with that of others. Writing a story by yourself is one thing, but to be able to do it with others and actually create a community out of many people’s imaginations, working as one, is something wonderful. And at the website where I first began to roleplay, where I’ve grown since my first days as a “newbie”, very little is left of the vibrancy. There have been many periods where people have claimed the place was “dead”, but they were just phases of inactivity that passed quickly and were replaced with frequent RPing. But I fear now that this “phase” may be the last one. This may just be a nostalgia trip, or it may be a vain attempt to revive something lost, but I’m making a call here to those who may be drifting by. In the list below, many names are missing, who are just as, if not more, important, but the following names are those that I seem to remember the most clearly, and perhaps the most fondly. And please, if you, a passerby, are, or know of, even one of these, or if you as well can call the letters I N S U a different kind of home, then….help me. Just for the sake of a gloomy memory, a trapped imagination with no other imagination friends to go out and play with. Some of your font colors I might have screwed up, but I did my best.
