Author: Karda Jadefire
Subject: * Long had it been since the wildcat had been here. Long had his mouth been bereft of the taste of Nightshade's ale; long had his ship sat in the nigh abandoned cove. And in fact, he was rather loathe to come here in the first place; too many souls he'd rather not see, and too many of those he knew he'd need to. In any case, he needed shelter from the storm outside, and a good hot meal never hurt. The cat fondles the handle of his latest aquisition, a flamberge sword, made of gleaming steel. The black leather-bound handle showed few signs of wear, marking the weapon as fairly new. Looking around the dreary, dimly lit tavern, a shining glint of metal - identical to that of the feline's sword - catches his eye. Walking heavily in the direction of the glint, he discovers with some surprise that the source is a cache of weapons. None of them interested him, really, but the people did.* What's this? A weapons stall in a tavern?

  • *Her eyes widen* Both of them? *quickly she checks her money pouch. She could use such finely made sabers. Scooping out the required cash (noticing vaguely that she has at least a little left over) she hands him the coin.* That's 20, methinks, *she says, recounting again.... Turning, she looks at Karda, jumping in surprise as he speaks because she hadn't noticed him.* Aye, and I'm glad of it, mate, *she confesses.* My old saber was so rusty and beaten-up, I accidentally struck a rock and it snapped in half.
