With a cold blast of wind, the tavern door was kicked open, revealing a small group of returning travelers. Their goal had been obtained, though not with out bloodshed. The enemy had been slain, the prisoner released.

The limp form of a ferret was being supported by Rillo and Olgan. His fur was stained with blood, torn in places where merciless abuse was thrown upon him by his captor. Yet he was alive, and that�s what mattered.

"A healer! Get me a healer!" Olgan's voice rose above the noise of talking beasts, loud enough so that all heard.

Laying their burden on an empty table, all they could do was wait for a healer to come. Rillo had done what she could to stop the blood from Shadefur's wounds, but she did not have the knowledge of a true healer.

Swallowing hard, she seizes her healer's pack and pulls out herbs, medicines, and bandages.* "Help me, Olgan. Start cleaning those slash wounds before they get infected." *carefully lifting the ferret's head, she uncorks a vial with her teeth and pours a few drops in his mouth.* "That'll put him to sleep for a bit.
