Many women do not know that their abortion rights are in jeopardy. A razor thin 5-4 margin narrowly saved reproductive rights in the Court's last decision on abortion. With the narrow split of the Court and the expected retirement of atlease one justice in the next few years, the threat to a safe and legal abortion has never been greater. The consequences of this include the following:
* Abortion will be again illegal in many states.
* Many women will resort to unsafe methods and illegal abortions.
* Some women will die from illegal, back-alley abortions.
* Women will risk their lives to obtain safe abortions
* Abortion providers will face legal prosecution.
