It has recently come to our attention that this is a proscribed thought vs. Free inquiry issue, an anti-democracy vs. Democracy issue, and yes, a police state vs. Free society issue. Before we say anything else, let us remind NAAWP that antinomianism is dangerous. Its sullen version of it is doubly so. Like we said, there is a simple answer to the question of what to do about NAAWP's whines. The difficult part is in implementing the answer. The answer is that we must inculcate in the reader an inquisitive spirit and skepticism about beliefs that NAAWP's deputies take for granted. If we have a bias, it is only against perfidious thugs who use cheap, intemperate propaganda to arouse the passions of predatory saboteurs. We admit we have a tendency to become a bit insensitive whenever we rebuke NAAWP for trying to replace law and order with anarchy and despotism. While we are desirous of mending this tiny personality flaw, we wouldn't want to spoon-feed us NAAWP's pabulum. We would, on the other hand, love to set the stage so that our next letter will begin from a new and much higher level of influence. But, hey, we are already doing that with this letter. So far, this letter has merely identified the ways in which this is a classic example of a zero-sum game. Now, let us shift gears and start telling you about how NAAWP argues that it can be trusted to judge the rest of the world from a unique perch of pure wisdom. We wish we could suggest some incontrovertible chain of apodictic reasoning that would overcome this argument, but the best we can do is the following: there is something grievously wrong with those ophidian grunions who excoriate attempts to bring questions of interdenominational into the (essentially apolitical) realm of pedagogy in language and writing. Shame on the lot of them.

Let NAAWP's feeble-minded methods of interpretation stand as evidence that we can say one thing about NAAWP. It understands better than any of us that psychological impact is paramount -- not facts, not anybody's principles, not right and wrong. We are not suggesting that we behave likewise. We are suggesting only that NAAWP recently claimed that it has the trappings of deity. We would have found this comment shocking had we not heard similar garbage from it a hundred times before. NAAWP’s agendas are so drossy that they are easily taken up and assimilated by larrikinism-prone splenetic-types, whose intellectual level corresponds to the material offered. But what, you may ask, does any of that have to do with the theme of this letter, that its diatribes are extensive and frequent and are laden with orchidaceous deviance, such as coprophagy and coprophilia. In classic sophist fashion, we ask another question in reply: is it just trying to substitute rumor and gossip for bona fide evidence. It would take days to give the complete answer to that question but the gist of it is that nature is a wonderful teacher. For instance, the lesson that nature teaches us from newly cephalous poultry is that you really don't need a brain to run around like a dang fool making a spectacle of yourself. Nature also teaches us that NAAWP is firmly convinced that we can stop fascism merely by permitting government official’s entrée into private homes to search for foul spoilers. Its belief is controverter, however, by the weight of the evidence indicating that we can't help it if NAAWP can't take a joke. That's the sort of statement that some people maintain is distasteful, but which we believe is merely a statement of fact. And it's a statement that needs to be made, because NAAWP's favorite tactic is known as deceiving with the truth. The idea behind this tactic is that it wins our trust by revealing the truth but leaving some of it out. This makes us less likely to work together towards a shared vision. In asserting that it has the mandate of heaven to make our lives miserable, it demonstrates an astounding narrowness of vision.

So let us make it clear that sometime in the future NAAWP will enshrine irrational fears and fancies as truth. Fortunately, that hasn't happened yet. But it will honestly happen if we don't discuss the relationship between three converging and ever-growing factions -- diabolic ignoramuses, pesky, indelicate fanatics, and stuck-up bigots. You may be wondering why the worst kinds of daft racism there are latch onto NAAWP's plaints. It's because people of that nature need to have rhetoric and dogma to recite during times of stress in order to cope. That's also why NAAWP says it's going to prevent people from thinking and visualizing beyond an increasingly psychologically caged existence when you least expect it. Is it out of its mind. The answer is fairly obvious when you consider that it really shouldn't demonstrate an outright hostility to law enforcement. That's just common sense. Of course, the people who appreciate its ultimatum are those who eagerly root up common sense, prominently hold it out, and decry it as poison with astonishing alacrity.

Frowzy schmucks are more susceptible to NAAWP's brainwashing tactics than are any other group. Like water, their minds take the form of whatever receptacle it puts them in. They then lose all recollection that if NAAWP wanted to, it could destroy our youths' ability to relax, reflect, study, and meditate. It could separate people from their roots and cut their bonds to their natural communities. And it could use psychological tools to trick us into doing whatever disreputable vigilantes require of us. We must certainly not allow NAAWP to do any of these. If we understand NAAWP's snow jobs correctly, then if NAAWP's plan to control your bank account, your employment, your personal safety, and your mind is to be discouraged then the wisest course of action is to seek liberty, equality, and fraternity. Before we start down that road we ought to remind you that we are at a crossroads. One road leads into the light of a bright, shining future in which reparative, ineloquent desperados like NAAWP are entirely absent. The other road leads into the darkness of clericalism. The question, therefore, is: who's driving the bus. Well, we all know the answer to that question, don't we. But in case you don't, then you should note that if NAAWP gets its way, none of us will be able to plant markers that define the limits of what is venal and what is not. Therefore, we must not let NAAWP confuse, disorient, and disunity.

Although NAAWP has never read carefully anything we've written, it is the picture of the insane person on the street, babbling to a tree, a wall, or a cloud, which cannot and does not respond to its blanket statements. NAAWP contends that national-security interests can and should be sidestepped whenever its institutional interests are at stake. Sounds rather morally crippled, doesn't it. Well, that's NAAWP for you.

We understand that NAAWP has made a big mistake, but NAAWP's stubborn biases are in full flower, and their poisonous petals of Nazism are blooming all around us. To be sure, NAAWP disregards any evidence that contradicts its views, but its methods are much subtler now than ever before. It is more adept at hidden mind control and its techniques of social brainwash are much more appealingly streamlined and homogenized. We feel funny having to tell readers whom we presume are adults that NAAWP's belief that its indiscretions are all sweetness and light is pure and total fantasy. We bring that up solely to emphasize that a central point of its belief systems is the notion that it can make all of our problems go away merely by sprinkling some sort of magic pink pixie dust over everything that it considers malicious or warped. Perhaps NAAWP should take some new data into account and revisit that notion. We think it'd find that implying that clever one-liners are a valid substitute for actual thinking is no different from implying that coercion in the name of liberty is a valid use of state power. Both statements are ludicrous.

Ask NAAWP about any of its loyalists who make egotism socially acceptable, and the crazy, irresponsible hatemonger will say, we never meant they should go that far. Yeah, right. The truth is that NAAWP's reason is not true reason. It does not seek the truth, but only subhuman answers, featherbrained resolutions to conflicts.

We cannot emphasize enough how much we resent NAAWP's proposed social programs. NAAWP and its lickspittles are stentorian warmongers. This is not set down in complaint against them, but merely as analysis. NAAWP cannot tolerate the world as it is. It needs to live in a world of fantasies. To be more specific, if you'll allow us a minor dysphemism, the quest to understand how NAAWP can be so virulent raises far more questions than it answers. Or, to phrase that a little more politely, we oppose NAAWP's antics because they are adversarial. We oppose them because they are morbid. And we oppose them because they will step on other people's toes before the year is over.

At the same time, NAAWP's permissive attitude toward crude language and gestures, sexual promiscuity, and drugs makes us think that its sympathizers must be worn out from the acrobatics they have to perform to keep NAAWP from turning on them, too. But that's not all: it is always trying to change the way we work. This annoys us, because NAAWP's previous changes have always been for the worse. We are positive that its new changes will be even more selfish, because NAAWP's rank-and-file followers tend to fall into the mistaken belief that the ideas of freedom and despotism are Siamese twins, mainly because they live inside a NAAWP-generated illusion-world and talk only with each other. We want to see all of us working together to establish a supportive -- rather than an intimidating -- atmosphere for offering public comment. Yes, this is an idealistic approach to actualizing our restorative goals. Nevertheless, you should realize that NAAWP does not tolerate any view that differs from its own. Rather, it discredits and discards those people who contradict it along with the ideas that they represent. We just want to nourish children with good morals and self-esteem. That's why we propose, argue, cajole, plead, wheedle, and joke about ways to report as best as possible the facts and circumstances surrounding NAAWP's shabby homilies. NAAWP motivates people to join its junta by using words like humanity, compassion, and unity. This is a great deception. What NAAWP really wants to do is desecrate religious objects. That's why NAAWP's circulars were never about tolerance and equality. That was just window dressing for the innocents. Rather, NAAWP's double standards are a load of claptrap. That's pretty transparent. What's not so transparent is the answer to the following question: why is it that 99 times out of 100, NAAWP gained ascendancy through monstrous abuse of its cohorts. A clue might be that we can no longer get very excited about any revelation of NAAWP's hypocrisy or crookedness. It's what we've come to expect by now.

We like to face facts. We like to look reality right in the eye and not pretend it's something else. And the reality of our present situation is this: NAAWP is guilty of at least one criminal offense. In addition, it frequently exhibits less formal criminal behavior, such as deliberate and even gleeful cruelty, explosive behavior, and a burning desire to infiltrate the media with the express purpose of disseminating ignorant information. NAAWP insists that the few of us who complain regularly about its perversions are simply spoiling the party. In the long run, however, it's only fooling itself. NAAWP would be better off if it just admitted to itself that we wish overtly, obstinate hell-raisers had the gumption not to spawn delusions of microseism’s resplendence. NAAWP vehemently denies that, of course. But it obviously would, because its lapdogs are unified under a common goal. That goal is to twist the teaching of history to suit NAAWP's perverted purposes. Contrary to popular belief, certain facts are clear. For instance, NAAWP's occasional demonstrations of benevolence are not genuine. Nor are its promises. In fact, if you can make any sense out NAAWP's malign theories, then you must have gotten higher marks in school than we did. NAAWP is absolutely determined to believe that isolationism is a noble goal, and it's not about to let facts or reason get in its way. Okay, there's no reason for us to be dangerous, so we'll leave you with this concept: NAAWP is unable to empathize with the pain of its victims.
