Subject: Sporozoa

There are many kinds of parasites that infect our aquariums. Among these are a group called Sporozoa. These parasites form spores that are resistant to drugs and chemicals during this stage. One such Sporozoa and appropriate for this months news letter is Plistophora hyphessobryconis. The causative agent of Neon Tetra Disease.

Приветствую Вас,

К сожалению, лечить болезни, вызываемые простешими микроорганизмами (эукариотами - не бактериями) сейчас пока либо трудно либо невозможно. Малярию тоже толком не лечат. а скорее залечивают :-(

http://www.aqualink.com/fresh/z-sporozoa.html
дает такую вот неутешительную информацию:

The parasite takes up residence in the muscles of the fish. There it causes degeneration and dissolution. Spherical cysts are found, and its within the spheres that the spores are formed before release. Where muscles have been affected whitish areas shine through the skin. This is most marked in the neons. The disease is not confined to just neons and will attack most characins. No effective drug treatment is known at this time and the infected fish should be destroyed.
