Thank you everyone who sent energy my way! It really did make a huge difference. Obviously with this being emergency surgury I didn't have any time really to prepare myself for what was about to happen! I tried to do some visualization myself but it was VERY difficult! So thanks so much to you all.
On that Saturday night, I went into the ER with abdominal pain, thinking it would be something to do with my recently-diagnosed ovarian cysts. Myself, my roomies, and my boyfriend spend about 5 hours in the ER, and I had various tests done, but I was certainly NOT planning on having an operation! I thought they'd tell me it was my ovaries, maybe prescribe something, and I'd be off to my BF's apartment for the evening. So you can imagine how unnerved I was when they said "appendicitis." The funny thing is, my BF kept sort of hinting that he thought it might be my appendix, and I was like "No! Don't say that! SHHHH!!" because I didn't want to have an operation! When the ER doctor said that, I was really scared and upset. I started sobbing. Luckily, the surgeon came and looked at my bloodwork and CT scan and determined that if it was my appendix, it wasn't a "riproaring" case of appendicitis and that the operation could wait til the morning if it needed to be done at all. That was excellent, because I was able to get a few hours of sleep, calm down, visualize myself healthy and safe, and of course, sunday morning as I was being wheeled into the operating room, I was telling my mom to call Dreemy so she could send some vibes my way! And obviously all of those energies proved to be so useful because I felt completely calm and peaceful as I went into the procedure and coming out of it. So thank you all so much. I really appreciate it.
The recovery part of this has had some rough spots, and I've had to miss two weeks of classes right at the beginning of the semester! But I'll be returning to school sometime this weekend and I'm anxious to get back. Yesterday I had my post-op appointment and the doc says I am healing perfectly and everything looks normal. AND he told me that in my pathology report, I had the kind of appendicitis that really quickly turns ugly and you get the fever, violently ill, and eventual rupture. So it's a good thing we got rid of it when we did!! THanks so much for all of your thoughts and energies. I apprieciate it so very very much.
Peace,
Scarlet
