Healing energies are heading for your father. Doing spells and aother magickal things for others is not something that we would do. What I would do is ask your father if it alright to light a candle for him. I remember asking my father if it was okay to light a candle for his brother and i was given permission. That is the key is to let them know what is going to transpire. A candle and a prayer is all I can think of at the moment.
