Hi,
I'm very sorry to keep sending you all these emails but I completely forgot. You need to purify that Rose Quartz Crystal before you use it. This can be done in a few different ways....
1. You can either bury it in the earth for a week. (you can dig up fresh earth put it into a container and bury the crystal in the dirt aswell.)
2. Let it sit under either direct sun light or moon light for 3 days.
3. Run it through the smoke of incense (Sage works for purifying and blessing).
4. Take it to a clear running stream or the ocean and let it soak in the water for a little while.
Or....
5. You can get some sea salt which they sell at the Broom Closet in Salem for $2-3, get some spring water put the salt into the water mix it together and visualize the water surrounded by white cleansing light and put the crystal in there for a couple days.
This has to be done because the crystal has most likely been handled by many people browsing around. It's picked up outside energies that could greatly effect it's own personal energies.
It's also good to sense the stones energies before you cleanse it by holding it in your "Receptive hand" (Hand opposite to the one you write with.) and then after you cleanse it so you can tell whether it has been properly cleansed or if it still needs more cleansing.
What you can also try is taking a pendulum, holding it over the stone and see what kind of response you get. Negative, or positive?????????
Oh, I highly recommend you learn how to use a pendulum and either make or buy yourself one. It works wonders and can really help you in all your magickal workings. For example: Whether or not the spell you want to do is the right one, whether or not the spell you want to do would fall under the "Harm None" rule, Or like above if you properly cleansed an object, or even if it needs to be cleansed. It's a tool NO witch should be with out. So get one.

P.S. And some other things, not sure if I told you or not. If possible a friend suggested to get a picture of your foster mom, Or anything that she owns that won't necessarily be missed. And from there I can help you figure out what else can be done to help you
