In reply to: Aurora Sky 's message, "Druid Warrior?" on 22:20:40 12/22/05 Thu

I'd never heard of one until one of the prison inmates that I provide pagan services for claimed to be one. I asked for an explanation of his title and he states that it was the faction of a Druid Grove that were the protectors, the warriors, those who did the dirty work. I really don't know the validity of this title, seems alot of the other pagans thought he was full of it. The Druids themselves weren't too happy with the title.
When workinbg in the prison I have to take everything that I see and hear with a grain of salt. These men have nothing else to do but to create and re-create themselves. Any thing to get them through their time.

Now in my opinion.... A druid warrior does seem plausible. Think about how things were back in the day. The Druids actually DID human sacrifice, albeit volunteers they say, maybe it was the warriors that actually did the binding, cutting, burning? Who were the sentinals/watchers during the rites, the warriors maybe?

Good food for thought.......

Love and LIght
