Glad you found our little corner of the web. Hope to get to know you via your postings.

I must confess i am green with jealousy (as opposed to my usually green witchy hue) over all the reading you guys have been doing. I want to read everything you have mentioned, plus about a dozen others some of which I have already bought and not had the chance to to get into yet. Time seems to be of a real premium of late. Right now everyone is sick. I am making flu brew.I am the least sick in the fam....just a niffle...and trying hard to keep all protections and fortifications up, up, up!

As many of you know, we go away every year for our anniversary at Yule. (the year we were married Yule fell on the 22nd.) Anyways we are supposed to leave on Friday and now my mom who was to stay with our daughter is sick. Well, we shall see what all unfolds. This year we are coming back the day before our anniversary and having a Yule/anniversary party on the 22nd. I am looking forward to it as the house is much emptier these days than in years past. We also have some very irreverent Jewish friends coming to do the secular Christmas dinner with us on the 25th which should prove a lot of fun.

I keep my sabbats separate from the secular holidays that have their own rich traditions which I also enjoy. So for us Christmas is very traditional and family-oriented, but non-religious, where as Yule is very spiritual and emotional in religious ways.

Oh for anyone who wants to be kept posted....Here we are 2 days after the end of hunting season and we have 17 deer. I am still waiting for the 8-point buck to show up, though. Last i saw him was on Friday. Last day of hunting season was Sunday. For anyone who remembers "Bucky", he is still doing OK. He was hit by a car and is missing one of his points and has a limp though he is putting weight on it and leaping around well. He probably did a good job of propetuating the herd when he was in rut as he had himself 6 does....not too shabby for the little buck who didn't even know he had horns last year and let the does push him around...LOL!

hugs,
Dreemy
