Your welcome! I am back now to add more info for you ;)
When I am asked "how long have I been wiccan/pagan" or "when did I first know it" it's hard to say. Really! In a way, it's like I have always been me. At age 4, I made a promise to my grandfather, and to his suprize Kept it at about age 23. How did I remember that soo many years? (Maybe because I meant every word of it?) From arroun that age and beond I use to draw a circle in sand/dirt...and doole in it, which I didn't understand why it Drove my elders nutz. Hmmm. Now I do!!!! lol I was just doin what came to me, what felt natural. Did not know I was doing "craft" work! I have had "warnings" in dreams, and visions...but really had no one to help as I got the standard "its only a dream, and means nothin" type answers. This taught me not to ask. Some of these gifts faded, but at times throught life returned. Was always and ever close to nature every chance I'd get, too.
Fast forward....Year 2000. The year I first went online! This is a turning point. It is when I began to learn there are NAMES for what I experence! The world opened up big time. Now, I had bought books before, and Learned of wicca, but it's nothin compaired to being online and having others to talk to! Hey, you get an answer to a question from a book, only what an authur writes in it! It is nice to have someone to ask what they think this or that phrase means, and to recive a varitiy of answers.
Thanks to a very good friend I came to this site, and have called it "my home on the net" ever since.
I am a mom to 7 children, three of them are over 18 now, while the "baby" of the family is 6yrs old. Five still live at home, two are married and blessed me with grandchildren. Been a solitary for many, many years, and have done groupwork online. After 9-11 I had a group work at my home (family only though). More recently, this is a regular thing.
I won't say it's been an easy road, but one well worth persuing. Life, in and of itself is a learning process that continues no matter how "old" the birth certificate claims you are! ;) Hey, Keep in mind with my posts (and other info you come accross), If it makes sence to you...fine, if not leave it. Same thing with books. I think you'll know what I mean in this paragraph....
Oh yeh, and at times I do get long-winded!
