OK....well, then I am glad I said what I did about when you call out to the universe for something, especially something big, that the closer you get to having THE answer to your quest arrive, the more you start pulling in "almosts but not THE answer" types of things happening. I can't tell you how often I have seen this sort of thing take place. J....didn't you have that happen when you were looking for your house/land? I seem to recall that you did, wasn't there a big disappointment right before you found THE place? Anyways it has happened to me everytime it was a biggie i was calling out for. In fact, I was talking to a poster here from Israel for awhile who I was e-mailing with...remember Rosedew? and that was a major focus of our conversations that it was a phenomenom that when it was for someone else or for something minor that we saw quick and clear results from our magickal efforts but that when it was a real biggie and close to our hearts that the manifestations seemed to take forever (or at least perhaps felt that way since we wanted the thing so badly!) I also think that the more people involved in having something manifest, the longer it takes, and harder it is to see the manifestation. For example: when someone is calling out to find the love of their life, the other person might not be in the right place in their lives timing-wise as the seeker. Certainly there isn't one of us who would want to settle for less than the right person for them in such a situation just to speed things up. Yet what usually happens is that all sorts of "almost Mr or Ms rights" show up and they seem more and more like they could have been the one, the closer we get to actually connecting with THE one.
Knowing that this is par for the course can help any of us to not onnly be patient but to deal with the dissapointments when we find out we were dealing with an "almost" and that it wasn't "THE" answer. It can still be very hard on the emotions....just know that, like you said, if it wasn't meant to be that has no bearing on whether your heart's desire will be fulfilled...and further...it may actually mean you are closer than you think to the time when fulfillment will arrive for real.
I also am away this weekend, but we are driving back home tonight and then will have a big bash at the next door neighbor's house for the 4th. It has been a very good weekend so far all around. My son tells me Tabsy is running up and down the stairs now and jumping on Dora's head...so I assume the paw is doing better, hehe. I really want to talk to you Moon....call me when you guys get back. I hope it is a good visit and non-stressful trip.
