Subject: Some advice needed today, if possable Author: Crystal [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 07:00:18 10/05/04 Tue Hi! I hate to do this on such short notice...but am posting as soon as I could. My Father-in-law passed away on sunday, and it looks like I may be the one doing the funeral...I have not officated at a funeral before and ANY advice would be welcomed. ( I am the back-up so to speak if the family cannot find someone else to do this on short notice, they would rather have someone experenced.) What they are looking for is a blessing really and to ask that he is accepted into "heaven", something along that line. THey are not catholic, yet want something along "the last rite". I know a bit confusing, or at least I am feeling a bit that way right now. You can email me with advice if you wish instead of posting here. I ask here because we are dealin with a multi-faith family. Trying not to step on anyones toes durring this time.
