Subject: Time value of money problem set #23
In reply to: Marilyn Whittaker 's message, "Time value of money" on 16:18:42 04/07/02 Sun

Marilyn:

To get "year" problems, it often helps to make up a 1 or two year example. From your 40th to your 41st birthday there is one year... from 40 to 42 is 2 years, and so on. Therefore, from 40 to 65 is 25.

I think what's confusing you might be that in the above examples, there is always one more birthDATE than there is years. In other words, from your 40th to your 41st birthday is two "BRITHDATES" but only one year.

Hope this helps.
