Lined in ivory...

Flash of alabaster to the eye of the beholder. Then, darkness once more.

A sudden, commanding voice, low and husky but definitely feminine, sounding from the edges of the area.

Stepping into clarity.

Cloud-brushed femme, eyes like the sky, but brewing a storm.

"Stop," she says. The air wavers in fear.

"Calm down." The air halts.

"Now, tell me the meaning of all this."
