Half-grown body still held tense, she watched, ocean-brushed eyes narrowed. The wayward colt she'd encountered was turning into a beast...but not a fearful one.

By all means, no. In fact, he was turning into a beast that Goddess liked.

Tossing her head, however, the blue-black filly's mind was prickled with a slight sense of annoyance.

Just because she was a filly didn't mean she couldn't defend herself.

Lifting her legs high and proud, she flowed over to him, nudging him. "Hey," she said softly. "You don't have to stand up for me. I'm fine on my own."

She turned to the other horses, impatience and stubbornness filling her crystallike eyes - impatience at them for interrupting what had been an innocent little chase, stubbornness because she didn't know what had been done wrong and therefore didn't deserve the punishment.

"Tell me," she said in a delicate, pealing but almost commanding voice. A voice worthy of her name.

Lethal. Deadly. But still, above all, a goddess.

"Tell me why you oppose me."

She stood in judgement.
