She walks in, stopping to ask for directions before settling down at a table. Her brown hair is done up in a new, but modest style and she wears a pair of silver hoop earrings, which match splendidly with her dress. Her outfit isn’t glamorous, but she never intended for it to be. Beauty comes from the inside, she tells herself idly.

Glancing around she watches some of the other couples, especially the ones close by and begins to wonder when her own date would arrive. They looked so happy she thought, ready for anything the world might happen to throw at them, certainly not afraid as she once had been.
