Healing would be handy mostly for PK I honestly feel.. there are very few situations I have found myself in in near 72 levels of mage-dom where I'd been thinking.. "Heck with a drain or a spell.. wish I had me a healing kit clogging up some packpack spaces, relying on coordination points I don't have." :) So to actually just HEAL in combat I doubt I'd use it even if I had it. In terms of buffing, it could indeed be used.. I can't vouch for how well that works. However I use revitalize self *7* combined with stam->mana 6. I go from 3 mana and about 315 stamina to 160 stamina and my full 320 mana in 2 spell cycles. Works for me! Dunno if the heal thing is an improvement but it certainly isn't hard to pull mana from thin air. :) However.. since arcane is (currently) sort of useless.. I would lean toward healing for another reason. It'd be kinda cool to have for the times when you want to play melee and go bash on things. Heh heh.. chorozite mines, etc.. save you a little aggravation when hunting with vassals, too maybe. I can see a definite use there. Few things make my day more than, "Hey six, can you help me get a body from the very bottom of OHN?" - yeah.. I'd like healing for that kinda case, so I can have a shield.
