Well, now we all know what the new matty robes are like:

The highest quality ones are Orange
60 AL base
Poor to all physical
Above Avg to all elemental
Wt: 500BU
But Value is 0! (no drop?)

The Hoary Matty is:
40 AL Base, Cool White
Unparalled in two elements
Wt: 1300 BU, V: 4000 (droppable)

The new robe if no drop and with its decrease weight is very nice. But you still need to fully bane it up for it to be any good. Furthermore, if you going to fully bane, why not use a lighter faran robe which also covers the head?

Between Faran and the new matty, as a mage who always wears a faran I will continue to do so. Then again, I do not mind baning, so I wear it over an old matty too.

Be interesting to see how things turn out. Atleast they did not nerf PPGSA (unless rumors about the Olthoi curiass is true...and it is more than a one-per-server item).
