Good questions, sorry i forgot to mention it. The signs are worn in towns(only if your gonna be there for a while, I.E. shopping, trading, etc. Note: the hub counts as a town) and at meetings(both meetings for the order as well as high council meetings, and the rare All GUILD meeting) As for being a council member, you as a RL player can only be in ONE order and represent ONE order at a council meeting.(so Larq can't be leading the golden fez, while your mage represents the Acolytes). One order, one real life player, thus no one has too much power. Doc, however, cannot be an order leader, as he is Monarch and thus is in no individual order and present at all council meetings. In short, the monarch has final say on a subject, the council is there to provide him with the various views of each order. The monarch also need not wear any order's symbols, unless he feels so inclined. The monarch is not allowed to voice opinions about the running of the individual orders, (I.E. he can't go to a Golden fez meeting and voice an opinion on a subject) since he has final say over any action at the council meeting. The point of this is so no monarch shows favoritism to an order (not that Doc would, but ILG had a few) and he cannot control both an order and the guild. There has to be balance between the orders but without a monarch, no decisions were ever made. Now, with the early forming of the ILG, if you were the first person to complete the requirements for an order, you immediately led the order and thus were a council member. thus Larq, being the first of us(aside from doc) to complete the golden fez reqs, could lead the golden fez. Myself would lead the Crooked grin (unless someone thinks they can trade better than me and has been following doc longer) Bo, being the best archer would lead them, and so on. Each leader is required to come to council meetings, as would Doc. other members can come to the meetings and observe, but can only voice opinions if Doc wishes to know them. (if you weren't a leader, you usually kept yer mouth shut, since your opinions would be voiced by your orders leader) It kept the noise and clutter of spamn down. Oh, befoire i forget, we all have numerous characters, but only ONE can be in an order (i.E. that character represents you as a RL individual) for most of us this is easy, but Larq, you have multiple personas, so you would have to pick a primary(I'm guessing larq or ilu) Your other personas are still members of the guild, but are considered "orderless" along with those who have not chosen an order. Now, the orders need not be the Same as ILG and the tests can differ, but if you are interested in building these so when we get bigger we have some structure, we could adapt it to meet GG.
