I would say turbocharging an auto tranny isnt going to work out very well, considering turbos have to spool before PSI is released in any considerable amount. Meaning if your tranny is shifting you out at say 5500 full throttle and drops down the rpm to say 2000 rpm for the next gear, where is your turbo. I have been speaking with RPW and Ripp about supercharging the 1st gen, the engine itself is a 3.0 liter bored out to 3.3 with a lower compression 8.5:1 65mm throttle body, header and so forth, I am ordering two of these engines around July of next year, they run about 4000.00 w/o supercharger. Someone asked my what the projected quarter times were of this engine, well Id say that the auto tranny is holding back performance of the new engine and will need 1st and second gear ratios changed before trying to achieve some track times. This engine w/o the charger I project should have somewhere around 250 HP, with the charger say 290 and thats all folks. Best your gonna get without endless bank and dropping a 350 covette engine in the damn thing.
