1. Start your car, let it run until it's up to normal operating temperature and set the parking brake (keep your foot by the brake just in case). Move the shifter through all the gears, giving a good 3 count for each gear. Don't go back into park, you want to end up in neutral. With the car in neutral, pop the hood and check the tranny dipstick. There are range markings. The fluid should be within this area. You want to fill it up to the top line, but don't over fill it. Take your time and add minor amounts until you get it to the correct level.
2. If you drain the tranny fluid via the drain plug, I recommend purchasing 7 quart of fluid. Pour in the first 6 and check your level (same procedures as above). Then use the 7th to adjust level.
