Subject: FYI, new Lukey Exhaust

Below is some info on a bolt-on, cat-back exhaust designed specificaly for the D/Magna. Lukey makes the VRX exhaust for Mits. My interest is because of VRX exhaust drone (bad with an automatic...) and unclear/mixed reviews on sound/hp from other after-markets. The Lukey will fit 2nd gen; appears it also might fit 1st gen. Believe this is a 3.5 inch design.

"It will be a Lukey branded muffler, made in 409 stainless steel and will be a bolt up fit to all TF onwards Magna sedan exhausts (2.4, 3.0 &3.5) from just in front of the rear axle...

The muffler and pipe will have a multi-fit flange to adapt to all the types of factory front exhaust halves...

...the note is a bit better than the Sport/VRX muffler and I presume it will flow as well as or better than the Sports/VRX muffler with a similar increase in power.

Cost is unknown as they haven't set the price yet but I would anticipate it to be cheaper than the Mitsu Sport muffler."

"On the US front, Graham suggested that there should be no problem getting some Lukey Magna mufflers over there - if you're a Diamante fan start hassling Tenneco's head office in your state or Nationally (and get some friends to do the same). Ask for the Walker/Lukey Magna Sports muffler from Australia, Part no's LR2779 (muffler) or AL45597. Who knows, it may speed up things this end....."
