Here's the neccessities, and I've done my research

Grab a reputable body shop and get a good price on body work (flirt if you have to, it works).

Try to find the best look you like, places I've been looking are the early 90 model BMW or honda accords, tell your body shop you want that kit modified for your car, if they're good, they'll say no problem.

You're going to have to do something outstanding to make your car stand out so a 3000gtvr4 engine swap with a SL tranny would do the trick.

Then get the interior wrapped by someone professional.

Also, you want some good "ice" so get some good stereo components and put them in. The sound stage on the Diamante is Decent, but the trunk acoustics are terrible. I've found mounting the subwoofers against passenger side of the trunk gives the best response. I'm running a planet audio setup for now (did my old boss a favor and am running their stuff, he gave me a good deal).

As long as you hit the important parts and don't plan to drive your car much (you have to detail the "heck" out of it to score points, you'll be ok. Check some of the NOPI websites out and also talk to some people that compete and find out what they're judging for.

Be sure you're going into this KNOWING you're going to lose ALOT of money if you decide to sell the car. If you're ok with that, then good luck with your car! Some people here can help, others are there to poke fun. Screw them, the supra locals were laughing at me when I told them I could have a vette beat a Supra under a Supra's budget, And now they shudder when they see me...... Now some people are laughing at my Diamante. We'll see how they'll be in a year.

Good luck!

(P.S. talk to people at local gatherings and find out the best places to go to, don't waste money by being impatient)
