Subject: HOLY CRAP, WTF just happened????

wow. um...so i was accelerating hastily, when all of a sudden, at about 4000rpms the car started shaking violently, and the RPM's just started going AWOL. i dunno what the hell just happened. up until then, the engine was running as smoothly as the day i got it ('92 es, 161,000 miles). i cant really expalin what just happened.

i dunno if the wheels just started slipping for some reason, or the tranny was trying to shift, but i had the pedal floored, so it freaked out. that might be it actually, b/c i didnt floor it right out of the gate, only about 10 feet later, so the tranny might have been in the middle of a shift when i floored it.

anyone else have this problem? up till now this has never happened before. now i'm afraid to go drive it again. thanks.
