Subject: Idle Control Motor

I have a 1999 Ford Escort LX. The mechanic has told me that I need a new Idle Control Motor. Is it possible for someone with only a minor knowledge of cars to change out the idle control motor? If so, is there an online guide that could help walk me through this?
