Now this is for the SOHC engine. I'm sorry if I didn't point that out at the start.
You will need a 3/8 drive ratchet with the following attachments, a 3/8 uniwiggle (universal), a 3 in and 6 in extension and the 5/8 deep socket with the rubber "plug holder" insert. Have an extendable magnet and/or mechanical fingers available. Please protect your fenders!
When you remove the plug boot from each plug, you will get a feel as to what position you will need to be in to extract the plug. Plug 2 & 4 can be reached from the passengers side using one or the other of the extensions indicated. You will need the uniwiggle on 6 from the drivers side (I have actually climbed into the engine bay and kneeled on the engine to get a bette vantage point on 4 and 6). I highly recommend you putting the new plug into the socket and getting it started before attaching any type of extension when doing 4 and 6. There is a heat shield by 6 that will need to be moved a little (bent) and re-adjusted when finished. All I ask is that you be patient. It's not easy, but it's rewarding.
