Subject: Lowering 1st gen D using 3000gt springs

I've seen a person on the internet using the mitsubishi 3000gt base model springs on their diamante to lower it. They said modification was required. Anyone know what modification they are talking about? I have a set that I ordered and I want to make sure I don't have to cut the coils to "modify" them.

Any help is greatly appreciated and I will post my results here ( I know alot of people in the past have been asking how to lower their 1st gens).
