Subject: Roadtrip and the Sweet-spot

Just back from a 1500 mile roadtrip in my 98 D. Man this car is just MADE for the American highway; smooth and quiet with effortless passing.

One observation is my gas mileage seems to get better the faster I drive. Seems I get ~25 mpg when cruising around 70 mph. Remember getting ~27 mpg when driving 85-90 mph on a prior trip. Then on the current trip got 27.8 driving 80-85 mph. Haven't had my D long enough to sort out where the sweet spot is. Anybody have an opinion or insight?
