~*~Species!~*~
Species' Name~ Since these creatures were never considered a "species" by humans, they were never named; however, one might simply call them Code Cats.
Home World~ Earth
Height at the Shoulder~ They are usually around the height of a panther.
Species' Colors~ Black with gold wings and gold blades, Brown with grey wings and black blades, and dark red with brown wings and golden blades. Occasinally a mix of these colours will occur, although it is very rare.
Temperament~ They have a very even, calm temper. Code Cats love riddles and were originally created to outsmart their enemies; however, if it comes down to hand to hand combat...well, they have been described as "raging madbeasts that don't know when to stop." Although this is true, the simple blast from a whistle will usually stop them.
Species' Description~ A quadruped, panther-like species with two gigantic feathered wings. They have a very dragon-like head, but with fur instead of scales. Much like the sabre-toothed tiger, two sharp fangs hang from the corners of their mouths. They have a thick "mane" of fur that covers their cheast and shoulders before giving way to the sleek, stuff on their powerful hindquarters. Sharp blades tipped with poison can be found at both the fore and hind paws of these creatures.A Code Cats' tail is long and prehensile.

Unlike most creatures, this species is not made of flesh and bone. They are machines, and that makes them near impossible to kill, unless one has the right substance. They were originally created as part of the Code, a combination of letters and numbers that creates an illusion around the human world. Like their creators, the Attackers, they have the ability to cast an illusion around themselves to make them appear human. Code Cats have the basic "magic" that symbolizes one born inside the Code: illusionary, an ability to move in and out of the Code freely, and even the occasional Changetalent. (Changetalents are very simple magics, such as the ability to sense the presence of another mind, psychic abilities, or shapeshifting.)
Code Cats have no need to eat, sleep, or even breath; most, however, do this to appear more 'real' to those around them. Many of this species will even generate a heartbeat-a very strange things, as they do not have hearts.

Since these creatures were created, not born, they are not given a gender. However, many will appear more masculine or feminine. They do this for the same reason they will generate a heartbeat-appearence.

Code Cats have a very superior air to them. This is not something they control; it comes from living around humans-which they truly are superior to-and being trained by the Attackers.
They are very hard to talk to and even harder to befriend, because part of the training they go to teaches them that everyone is the enemy, and therefore, not to be trusted.

They travel in groups of four, called Wings. The Wing is lead by a Reaper, followed by two Guards, and finally, one Tracker. Occasionally the lone Code Cat, called a Ferret, will be found.

It is very hard to tell the robotic Code Cats from a normal creature. The only way to do this is to listen very closely-every time they move, a slight "whrrr"-ing noise can be heard.
