Appearance~ A silver, Ziv is among the smaller of the species, and her one bright eye looks even larger in comparison with her tiny body. Yes, one eye. The other was lost in an...unfortunate accident, which she is forbidden to speak about. Her small stature is wiry and thin, worn down with years of hard work and stress. One long ear is ragged along the edges (another sign of past struggle) and her once splendid scales are patchy and dull in places. All in all, this Shavva cuts a rough picture...
Personality~ Ziv has a rather cynical view of life, and can be quite sarcastic when the mood strikes her- which is quite often. Hers is a gruff friendship, and a hard one to gain, as she is naturally suspicious of any and all she encounters. However, she can be fiercely loyal, and extremely dedicated to a cause. In fact, it was that very loyalty that got her kicked out of the Shavvian army...*evil cackle*
Age~ Well...she’s four on Resinde...that translates to roughly 30 on Terole, I suppose...

Home World~ Resinde, a large reddish planet in the Jyrdan galaxy, is rich in precious metals of all kinds. On the surface, it appears to be a desert wasteland; along the equator, temperatures often reach above 120 degrees! However, beneath the arid crust is a wealth of minerals and ore. While the deposits are of superior quality, Resinde metals are worth far more than metals of their grade from elsewhere. This is because the Shavva have always practiced minimal mining, believing it to desecrate the land, and very few actual samples have ever reached the market, driving up the prices of this ‘rarity’.
Height at the Shoulder~ The Shavva are a small species, the tallest only 2 feet at the shoulder (when standing as bipeds), the shortest closer to one.
Species' Colors~ Resinde is a planet rich in minerals, so much so that mere soil is a precious commodity. The Shavva have over the millennia developed a unique ability to consume the metals native to their planet, and take on their coloring. They have evolved into three different subgroups of coloring: copper, iron, and silver. Different parts of their bodies may be different shades of the color, but generally, a copper Shavva is completely copper. It would be very rare, for example, to find a copper and silver Shavva. Their large eyes are nearly always a dark forest green, and contain no pupil.
Temperament~ The temperament of a Shavva generally depends on their size. The larger the Shavva, the shorter their temper. A one-foot Shavva will be much more easygoing than a two-foot one. The larger ones are more arrogant as well, due to their natural size advantage. However, the smaller of the species tend to be more intelligent. In fact, on Resinde, a baby Shavva is trained from birth in a profession that will best suit the temperament of their size. All Shavva are warriors, however, despite their minute size. The soldiers are hired as elite guards for many inter-space diplomats, and have a ferocious reputation in their own galaxy. The small are among the best spies to be had, and live by their creed of sacrificing their own life if ever they are caught, so that valuable information never gets into the wrong hands. They are a race of mercenaries, and will generally sell out their loyalties to the highest bidder. As such, they are not always trustworthy.
Species' Description~ Small and lithe, the Shavva most closely resemble a flying squirrel. Their whole body is covered not in fur, but in lightweight, microscopic scales that act as a nearly impenetrable armor. The head is overall more feline than anything else, although the ears are very large, providing some cool on the desert planet of Resinde. As mentioned earlier, a Shavva has large, deep set green eyes that are more suited for the dark than anything else, although they can still function fairly well in the light. The face is round-cheeked and sleek, and would be almost cute were it not for the sharp, slightly curved fangs that hang over the edge of the thin lower lip. They have long, sinuous necks that taper down to wiry bodies, sleek and aerodynamic. There is a thin membrane between each pair of front and back paws, which acts as a sail and allows the Shavva to ‘fly’, or at least glide, in the hot thermals present all over Resinde. When not in use, it is kept tucked against the body, out of the way. Each paw ends in small, needle-sharp retractable claws, perfect for delicate incisions, and many of the soldiers (and even some spies) have taken to wearing a thin, brightly colored lacquer that will instantly poison the bloodstream if given a chance to enter. The small body ends in a short, thin tail that is nearly as dexterous as their hands. While Shavva evolved as quadrupeds, in recent millennia they have taken to walking upright as well, which they tend to do in front of other species, to gain any height advantage they can. However, they may at any time drop to their natural quadruped state- whatever suits their fancy.
