Name~ Mystal
Appearance~ Her body is light violet, same as her wings, and her head is dark purple. Her tail is patched with midnight blue and jade green. Mystal's eyes are black with fushia spots. And, lastly (and most importantly for an Akai), her claw color is navy blue.
Personality~ Mystal is sweet and caring. She reached adult hood a year ago, and as custom went, she was kicked out of her tribe to seek out her own family. She has met with many vagabonds on the way to Terole, and is not very trusting anymore, seeing danger in everyone and everything.

Height at the Shoulder~ One to two feet
Typical Ages~ Can live up to 175 years of age (an Akai years. Two Akai years equal one human year). A Child is from birth to 25 years, and then from then on they are known as adults.
Species' Colors~ All are shades of blue or purple for their main bodies. Females tend to be lighter shades, while males darker. Eye color is different. An Akai's eyes have a solid colored background, and then it's spotted. The solid background color can be any color imaginable, but every single family has their own color that shows up for the spots. When two become mates they pick what color they want for their family, and then their eye spots then change to that color. This is how you can tell what family an Akai is from. Their tails are multi colored, normally patched with any two colors. Sometimes the tails are three colors, but always more then one and less then three.
Temperment~ Akai's are almost always very calm. If one loses it's temper it is dishonored, and honor is something very important for them. If they chose to be they could be very agile fighters, but so far none have chosen that path, perfering to be a peaceful species.
Species' Description~ An Akai is very short - none have been known to reach over two feet at the shoulder. They have four legs, and the main body of a panther (although smaller, of course!). But that is where the similarity ends between them. An Akai has a long tail (none have been under three feet when fully grown). The tail is multi-colored, unlike the rest of the body. It normally is two colors, but what colors are up to the indivual. The tail is like an arm/hand to a human - they can grap things with it, etc. The paws are bigger then that of a jaguar, and their claws are longer and thicker. Each Akai has their own claw color, and this is important to them. Claws are always kept as sharp as possible ((a.s.a.p.)) and to lose your claws mean that you must be cast out away from everyother Akai, to be shunned, you might say. They all have wings that allow them to fly from birth (but they must learn to walk). The wings are the same color as their main bodies, and are not feathered, but furred, like the rest of them. Their head is like that of a fox slightly. It has the muzzle and the perked up ears. The head is a darker shade of their main body coloring. Their teeth are not sharp, though, as you would expect, for an Akai is an herbivore. They do not eat other animals, but plants. Their muzzle also is rather pointed. When fighting is occuring nearby, an Akai perfers to fly then to fight.
