~*~Species~*~

~species' name~
Dagaan

~height at the shoulder~
average is 5'11

~temperament~
Dagaan's are quick to anger, and will stand by their friends, leaders, or peers to the death if the cause is good, and they take any chance they can get to show their dislike for an enemy. Dagaan's, though they like their privacy, are not purely solitary creatures, and will often become depressed if they have no friends or no mate by their side. They enjoy adventures as well as darkness, having keen vision in dim or no light. They are creatures of war and fight. Most Dagaan children and youths are sent to 'camps' so to speak, to train them for war and in the art of fight. They will put on a strong front and seem to fear nothing, even if they don't feel it, but can be very kind, caring, compassionate and lighthearted, enjoying jokes and jests. They tend to be very intelligent creatures, being able to learn things with ease, though they prefer to learn what they know by seeing it, or doing it themselves, rather than merely being told, or reading it. In war, Dagaan use technology rather than magik, and in healing, natural things rather than magik.

~species' description~
Dagaan are bipeds (though not humanoids). They have a torso shaped like that of a human, except cat-like fur covers it. At their shoulder, the fur turns feathery, like feathering on a dog, except shorter. Their forarms are near hairless. Attached to their shoulder blades are large wings, their tips usually touching the ground. They have tails like a horse, and legs like those of a bird of prey, covered with the same feathery fur as their shoulders and upper arms, and their head is the likeness of that of a Great Dane's. Males always have a ruff of fur, somewhat like a lion's mane, about their neck.

~species' colours~
They can be any shade of brown, grey, cream, or ginger. If their colouration is dark, they may have golden wings and tails. If their colouration is light, they may have silver wings and tails. If it is an in between colour, they can have either, or a mix of the two. They can be calico, but, as in cats, only females, and one may be albino or black, but this is highly rare. The male's mane is always black.

~*~Species~*~

-species' name-
Tufaki

-height at the shoulder-
average is about 5 ½ - 6 ft

-temperament-
Tufaki are very quite, peaceful, and wise creatures. They are very gentle, and known for their tranquil nature. They are very highly intelligent, and greatly enjoy spending their time reading through scrolls and books of any sort, from the fine arts to science fiction. They will often write endless scrolls themselves, about the past and present, from events happening in the very place they live, to ones galaxies away. They are found to be, by most creatures, to be very soothing, with their serene, yet eloquent nature, yet, some find this attitude, this aura that surrounds them to be highly aggrivating. A creature who is angered by them will usually distress a Tufaki, as they wish to calm the soul, and sooth the mind of others. Though some take up the role of a writer, and some, teacher, nearly all Tufaki are healers by nature, no matter what path they choose. They are not easily angered (as if that wasn't clear). It takes a great deal of tormenting for a very long period of time to enrage any Tufaki (such as living beside those dyoned raucous Dagaan nearly their entire existence). It would take more than a year to anger even the shortest tempered Tufaki individual. But, to infuriate a Tufaki would be quite a foolish thing to do. Though they are very peaceful, they are also very strong and powerful fighters. That is the slight, dark twist in their personality. Though an evil, or generally bad-tempered Tufaki, or anything of the sort is unheard of, an angered Tufaki, or one fighting because they see no other way to deal with the event/occurance, is nearly unstoppable. It becomes hard to believe that they are the same beautiful, serene creatures, battling with such a lust to end the life force in the other individual(s) in question. In developments and healings, as well as in war, Tufaki use magik rather than technology. They also use natural things in healing.

-species' description-
Tufaki are quadrapeds. Their elegant necks are a bit long, and their chests are broad, ending in a slim waist. Tufaki legs, fore and aft, are slender, but the sinewy muscle in them seems to bulge from beneath the skin. Their hind 'paws' are neither slim nor broad, and have four long, broad, rigid toes, alightly arched, which have sharp retractable claws, but these are hardly ever seen. Their front 'paws' are much like the back, except have three finger-like toes, the fourth acting as an opposable thumb, but are thinner than the hind toes. These also have retractable claws, and too seem rigid. Their muzzles are not long, and they are broad (think like the muzzle of an Alaskan Malamute). The shape of their well defined skulls too are much like an Alaskan Malamute's, but longer. Slight ridges are above their 'long', slanted eyes, looking like a moon when only a sliver of it can be seen (the outer curve going upwards, more or less). Their ears are extremely long, ending around their haunches. They are thick and round at the base, and taper to thin, wavy, whip-like tendrils. Their tails are also very long, draping along the ground when they stand. It's like a single lengthy cord of muscle. At it's base, the tail is quite thick, and round. It tapers slowly from there, not nearly as quickly as their ears, and its round shape remains easily defined. About 6 or 7 inches from the tip, there's long (but not thick) fur on the underside of the tail, somewhat like the feathering on a dog. Except for that, Tufaki seem to be completely hairless. But upon closer inspection, their bodies are covered with a very fine, very short velvetly fur.

-species' colours-
Tufaki are grey, silver, or any grey- or silvery- colour.
(ex. grey-blue; silvery-blue; grey-red; silvery-red; grey-green; silvery-green)
some of the above seemed a bit odd, p'rhaps impossible, but they are, if you have imagination ; )
Tufaki eyes are one solid colour, and they are whatever their "base" colour is (if a Tufaki were grey-purple or silvery-purple, their eyes would be solid purple) If a Tufaki is silver, then their eyes are be white, and if a Tufaki is grey, their eyes are black.
The only difference between Tufaki males and females are that with Tufaki males, their colours seem to fade as they reach their tips, and with females, they darken.

Home World/Backround

Daraquon. That is what the planet which the Tufaki and the Dagaan inhabited was called. No one truely knows which species was there first. Some even go as far as believing that the two were once the same species. But in all truth, they were born up from the planet they once called home. She was like most planets, and yet like few. She was a spirit, encased within the physical form of the planet (hence she was able to bear forth the two species). Forever and mysteriously plentiful, she was. In no found records was there famine or mass destruction upon Daraquon, covered with forests and grasslands, along with mountain ranges, and even in her few deserts there were oasis'. Scattered about the planet were populated areas, from great cities to tiny villages. It seemed that the Tufaki and the Dagaan were well cared for by their 'mother planet' (in a most literal way). But, there was one thing that she could not stop them from doing in her physical form. She could not stop them from fighting with eachother. For centuries the sibling species' shared the planet. In the beginning, they were fine with eachother, but that soon ended. After a while, each hardly put up with the other, and, after a long time, they waged war. It lasted many, many long years, and after all the pain, all the suffering, and the bloody battles and much grieving, neither species won. All this warfare just ended up to be the destruction of Daraquon. Very few of either species survived. Daraquon literally blew up. It started as just a rumbling, and 72 earth hours later, there was no more planet Daraquon. Oddly, the destruction of the planet, set the spirit within free of the physical bonds she was held down with. The Tufaki and Dagaan that did survive set off in small shuttles to other planets where they would be welcome to live.

Yikes...Tufaki are much more complicated than Dagaan. **looks around and yawns, then pokes Snashy the uncooked fish** I blame you for this insanity, what else but your constant species posting could make me go this insane as to look for my papers with all that stuff on them, edit them, and then type them up? Yikes though...I was crazy when I was in elementry... **eyes the character stats. Pokes a Tufaki, and grins at the "dark twist"** Okay...so I added that liddle nasty bit in...m'sorry, I just can't have a perfectly peaceful creation, I seem to be becoming quite dark these days...eck...with that whole serene, tranquil nature thing, they seem a bit like the Tailons from Earth:Final Conflict...'cept I don't trust creepy dark Tailons...*smacks dem...'cept for D'on*...but, anyways, I thought I should add them, plus the stuff on Daraquon, since I mentioned them when I updated the Dagaan stats, it didn't feel right mentioning them, and nothing more.....hey Sushi, did you know that on this one jb, (meaning all of the messages that you can see without going to the archives), you've posted 37, THIRTY-SEVEN different species?! PLUS, Korat and Night Cat, that's THIRTY-NINE, and I have a feeling that you've still got many, MANY more species hidden away in your frighteningly insane little mind...
