Species' Name~ Jxani (pronounced Jih-san-ee)
Home World~ unknwn, they're ancestors are silent creatures, and do not revel in telling the stories of their people unlike other species. They live for the here and now, and none else.
Height at the Shoulder~ Approximately two feet when in quad form, almost 5 when biped.
Species' Colors~ Drab and undaunted by flashy colors around them, Jxani are born with pale grey or white fur, much like the down of a baby bird. As they grow this fur gradually gives way to the waterproofed fur, much like that of an otter or seal which will stay with them in adulthood. This second fur is darker than they're baby fur, and they're arms and legs have slight striped markings.
Temperment~ Cautious creatures, the Jxani sense tension easily. They're not hostile, though a female is known to be rather defensive of her nest when young are to be born there. Lone creatures, the Jxani will only be found in groups when they choose to mate, and when they mate, they mate for life... then the duo have their young and raise them till their third year, and leave them to go on with their lives. Some may say they are emotionally detached, and stupid, but the curious questioning comes only from thisrt of knowledge.
Species' Description~
About the face they have wide, cat-like eyes, in that they are wide set, but not quite on the side of the head. A shortened snout gives them a doggish appearance, but the mind is quick to judge what it does not understand. The long tail they use for balance and speed are also one of they're greatest weapons. The talons upon the tail are sharper than razor blades, and though hidden when secure, the slightest bit of tension will put a Jxani on its guard. Normally Bipeds, Jxani can also move on all fours, and when running long distances tend to take on the habits of a large cat, body moving like a fluid machine.
