Author: Theae
Subject: The strange female soars in on wings that are beyond explination. She backwings and lands, her mother-of-pear eyes glinting

~*~Individual!~*~
Name~ Theae (pronounced TaeEE)
Appearance~ The lightest blue with red wingtips and white feathers she was a breeding female before she left her planet/moon(see below) She is graceful and beautiful in her planet/moon and has mother-of-pearl eyes. She has a slightly above average wing-span and hight at four and a half feet and eleven feet.
Personality~ She is rather calm and cool but when you get her angry she is quite scary. She has hardly any temper but holds a grudge for a very long time. She will pretect those she loves and was feircely devoted to her young who she left behind when her mate died. She can be pashonite but rarely. She does love her art, however.
Age~ 30
Gender~ Female
Species' Name~ Lorine

~*~Species!~*~
Species' Name~ Lorine (lor*in*EE)
Home World~ A hostile world with an atmosphere of methene gas and no liqued water. The species evolved there when it was earthlike but an enviromental disaster involving the two inteligent species on the planent killed the first, more beautiful one and left the Lorines to evacuate to the moon. When it was earthlike it had tall, treelike plants of light blue that strectched 3 miles into the sky. They had large branches and thick rubberly leaves that were posinous. The forest floor is covered with strange plants that evolved with the lack of water and sunlight created by the tall trees. The star is a G-4 bianary star with it's partner so far away that it does not affect the planent.
Height at the Shoulder~ They are long and short, standing on all for legs fully streched out is 3-4 feet at the shoulder for females and 2-3 feet for males
Species' Colors~ They evolved to be camafloged in the light blue of their planet so their colors generaly are in the light blue to light green range although their are some sports that are white. The wing tips of the breeding females are always red, but only a little bit. Babies are born black and after thier first molting begin to light up. Their eye colors range from a glossy mother-of-pearl color to a dark brown. In mating season the males have bright markings down the ridge of their spine.
Temperment~ In this species the male is very submisive and will not fight or try to dominate the female. His only real job is to guard and "create" the young. He is less intelligent and less creative and is not as respected in the comunity. Males only have one mate and it is a mate for life now but the ritual of fighting and showing off is continued. The females are fierce and tempramental but with their own kind or those they trust they are seen to have a very close bond with other sentinent beings and to be very intelligent, sensitive and creative. On their homeland they have great technology and works of art and delight in sharing them. As said before, there are very few creative males so most artist's and scientists are female. The feirceist and most intelligent female is the leader and this is decided at the end of the year in a play of ritual battles. Their are some submissive females and some agressive males but they are very rare and looked down upon.
Species' Description~ They are quadropeds with long wings. Their wingspan is normaly ten or so feet. They have a thin wing membrane with no feathers but the pin feathers necesary for flying. They have long flexibale necks that end in a plume of feathers which suronds the almost humanlike head except they are always bald.
From the point in between the start their wings to the the tip of their mobile tail there is a ridge of scales in a slightly different shade and pattern then the rest of the scales. They have long claws with 4 fingers and a thumb on each leg, which are thing and scaled. They can sweep their wings over their heads and tail against something and camoflouge themselves slightly to their surondings, their will always be a slight bluish or greenish tinge as the cas may be. They speak in a lisping wisper that has a musical quality to it and how they make the art they value so highly is with the tip of thier tail There tail is the main manipulating element of their bodies. They hatch and have about 3 eggs per mating. The eggs are lightly blue and a hatching is a joyous event for the whole comunity. Only some females can breed. These are distingushed by their red wing tips. The choosing of mates for a young breeding female is a wonderful affair. Their is a glourious flying contest and the winner gets the female. They look down upon magic and are not very good at it although some have aptidude. Their technology is highly sophisticated and very beautiful and graceful. They live about 100 years and young leave thier mother at 10. They are ready to breed at 20
