Name~ Saben Dalia
Appearance~ She is of average size for her species, about 4' at the shoulder, and has a seven foot wing span. Her black spots stand out from her grey/white fur on the top half of her body, and the short lion's hair on the lower end is a very light brown. She has incandecent blue-green eyes, usually seen behind a pair of half spectacles (worn in the day time to help with near-sightedness). A strange silver marking adorns the center of her forhead, a sort of upside-down cresent, barely discernable in the light of day.
Personality~ Saben is sometimes hard to get along with, owing to her almost haughty character. This is due to her lack of an impossible riddle (her last one was solved), which is considered a kind of deformity among her people. Normally she is bright and cheerful, a sociable sort of creature, but because of her rescent misfortune, she has become moody and bad-tempered.
Age~ She is a rather young feline, but doesn't like to admit it.

Species' Name~ Caternixe, or Sphinx-Cat, also called Carninx.
Height at the Shoulder~ 4'
Species' Color~ Whitesh grey with black spots on top, tawny fur on bottom, and white wings.
Temperment~ They have the personalities of most cats, but are slightly more cheerful. They like riddles and puzzling questions, and often study myths.
Species' Description~ The Carninx's have a slight resemblence to the true Sphinx species, which is why they are often called Sphinx-Cats. The bottom half of their body is of a lion, and they also have large wings. But there are major differences. The first and most noticable is that the top of the body is that of a snow-leopard, instead of a woman. Also, their wings are from an unknown bird- they are slightly curved forward and have long, splayed, white feathers. They are a medium size, about 4' at the shoulder and 4 1/2' long, while thir wing span reaches to a large 7 to 8 feet. They can see very well in the dark, but are rather short-sighted in day-light. They have excellent hearing, an acute sense of smell, and are very fast. They tend to rely more on stamina than strength becuase they are fairly light creatures, except for their powerful hind legs, which can deal devestating blows.
Carninx's have two magical abilities. One is drawing energy from things around them and storing it in their own bodies, which can then be used to help maintain their stamina or thrown as small spheres of power at enemies. Their second ability is to become unnoticable. (This is a version of invisability, but is different because people fail to see them only because the are not interested.) It takes a lot of concentration though, so they only use it in times of emergency.
As for their past, no one knows exactly where they came from, except that it was a rather dry place because Sphinx-Cats hate getting wet. When asked about their history, the usual reply is a blank stare and the flick of a claw or tail. (They are noted to be fairly untalkative and stubborn at times.)
