A single, narrow, towering black spire stabs through the earth and aims for the blazing sky. It is a mountain, though it does not seem very natural in the desert-like land, a few dozen miles from the Kantune Mountains and even farther from Big Blue. Made up of pure, pitch-black rock, the smoothness of the rock is a severe challenge to climbers, but provides excellent thermals for those blessed with wings. Only two features scar the black spire. The top, which does not end in a point, curves into a seamless hump, slick enough for no claw to grasp, and blazing hot from the beating sun. And, about two-thirds up the side facing the Desert, it appears that a gigantic knife was swung at the side of the spire. A flat ledge is cut two dozen feet into the edge, being flat and smooth like the rest of the ebon mountain. Above that cliff, the slash mark tapers smoothly outwards, meeting the other sides seamlessly in a narrow spire once more. All in all, this is perhaps the oddest 'natural' landmark on Terole, and the absolute hardest thing for a trillion acres to climb... although the thermals given off by its shiny surface are strong, narrow, and spiralling - perfect for adventurous flight.

To the legendary Lady Fream, who once ruled a land of this same name: Happy hunting, and don't forget to ring btsa's bells if you get there first.
