一場既是聯賽開鑼戰又是首階段謝幕戰的甲組聯賽今晚於旺角場上演，上屆聯賽冠亞軍晨曦及愉園兩無紀錄，各得一分。

原定於九月舉行的聯賽揭幕戰因天雨改期，成為首階段最後一場賽事。由於澎馬流浪正以十七分領導群雄，晨曦愉園為求不被流浪拋離均不欲落敗，因而踢來謹慎。

開賽早段，晨曦先有哥連斯頭槌中柱，其後馬斯奧連過三人後起腳亦被范俊業擒住。

向來踢法迂迴的愉園至廿六分鐘才有第一次攻門，卓卓於禁區外突施冷箭，皮球僅於門角上高出。

上半場完結前，范俊業再救出迪恩的罰球，兩隊半場未有紀錄。

易邊後六分鐘，馬斯奧利用優秀的個人技術，穿花蝴蝶般在愉園四名防守球員間起腳，皮球貼柱出界。

愉園的甄馬田稍後亦回應一記窩利快射，晨曦的陳家麒及時擋出。

下半場兩隊均有一入球良機。晨曦先有黃鎮宇於小禁區頂勁射被范俊業救出，而愉園的後備球員沈國強趁陳家麒出迎失誤射空門，亦被晨曦球員及時救駕。

補時階段，鄭兆聰禁區外一記弧形笠射高出，註定球賽和局收場。

第一階段聯賽亦正式完結。澎馬流浪十七分穩坐榜首，其餘順序為南華十四分，晨曦十三分，愉園十二分，福建、港會同得七分，香雪四分，花花則三分暫居末席。
