*Rune shifts her gaze from the amusing antics of Heruen and Lynwis to Kaylin who looked so somber compared to the others as he leaned against the wall. She studied him for a moment, then tore her eyes away, realizing she was staring. She turned again to look back at Selendrile, slipping into a silence that seemed to request the same of everyone else, at least towards Rune. She stood there, studying as she had become used to during all those years of dumbness and pain only recently healed. Being quiet for a mere moment seemed to pick at the still-fresh wound of her soul, but Rune knew not what to say, and retained her passive gaze.*
